Below I have a step-by-step process of me working on a piece. I usually start a piece by blocking out the figures in a simple stick form, before adding contour lines and then adding limited details.
Once that’s done, I go in again on the details, before blocking out flat colour. Then I colours the background, add any rendering and shading needed, and voila!
